This Sims 2 blog follows the lives of the Nuidya tribespeople of the southern plains, as they try to survive, thrive and figure out what exactly it means to be a dragonspark. Along the way, there'll be drama, romance, utter silliness, high-fantasy worldbuilder rambling and lots of cats. Just watch out for those storm demons - they're sneaky. :)

Still Alive and Simming

OK, I know, no updates for a while. June eats my Sim time. But I am using what little time I can spare to try and stave off withdrawal. And I do have more than one project underway.
So, I thought I'd let anyone reading know that I'm still here and I'm working on stuff (intermittently) and what that stuff is and why am I typing in long rambly run-on sentences?

My current projects are:

1 - Breathing new life into Kulo Seeri, which has stagnated again due to lack of appropriate functional items. Creating default replacement careers to suit the sort of thing they do. Possibly rebuilding AGAIN.

2 - A new hood that is basically two very different towns on opposite sides of a river (not at war though - cliche). It's more of a fantasy-styled hood than KS or my other hood, with a mixture of medieval and oriental CC and no humans in sight. Still very much in concept phase.

3 - Anyone else remember the horrible, horrible legacies of the old official TS2 site's heyday? The ones where the gorgeous, air-headed Family aspiration founder argued with the creator non-stop, mentioned bad grilled cheese at every baby bump shot, and everyone had a forced stereotyped personality - usually of the incredibly clueless variety? Well... parody time! Project #3 is an urban modern tribal hood, home of the Armacy Tribe (credit to my aunt for the name). It will mostly be poking fun at the old legacies, and giving me an excuse to use the modern stuff I downloaded for reasons unknown.

4 - TS3 experiment. I've made a toddler version of Sena Yuleng, founder of KS, and I'm adding her into a household in each of the TS3 premade hoods. So far, in the generic control household in Sunset Valley, she's a teenager, has two younger brothers, a sister, a dog and a plumbot, soon to be joined by youngest brother's imaginary friend. Yikes. Did I say generic?

So, no more updates until July, most likely. I just wanted to say "still here". :)

  1. Hi, just found your blog through Apple Valley! I remember (very fondly) the horrible legacies of the offical Sims 2 site heyday, in fact I was an avid reader of them. I look forward to your spoof!

  2. Oh, I was looking for the recessive gene tutorial you mentioned on Apple Valley? Could you point me in the right direction? Thanks so much,

  3. Hi Shannon, the recessive gene tutorial is here on my blog: http://thenuidyahub.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/tutorial-changing-recessive-genes.html

I haven't had much time to work on any of my projects lately, but I'm slowly getting back round to it. I should be playing again in a couple of weeks.
