Shannon was kind enough to nominate Kulo Seeri for the Spirit Animal Award! I love her stories, in fact her Take Me To The Moon Legacy was the story that got me interested in TS4 in the first place. Her legacy family, the Teslas, and her world of Simdale Valley, are filled with Sims who I've really got to like and care about, and Shannon herself has been a good friend to me for quite some time now. Thanks Shannon - I really appreciate all of this! :)
Like Shannon, I'm quite introverted - partly because I have Asperger's and social situations confuse me, and partly because that made me the weird kid that everyone picked on all the way through my school years. I started Simming as a way of escaping into my own little world where things worked exactly the way I wanted to and nothing could get at me. As a result, I used to micromanage everything - but in more recent years I've added a lot more randomness and free will into my game (ACR, anyone?!) and I love it even more because of that. To this day, Kulo Seeri is a comfort blanket and my escape from the craziness of my life... even if my Sims' lives are crazier than mine!
Because of all this, I think my spirit animal would be a sea turtle. I've developed a hard outer shell to protect me from harm, and my current Simming style of setting up and letting the Sims tell their own stories reflects the way mother sea turtles bury their eggs in the sand and leave them to make their own way... and, like the turtle mummy, I cry when I leave them.
I'll admit I also tend to hide in a few little corners of the internet, so I don't know that many non-downloady blogs for any of the games. However, I'll nominate Starr of Apple Valley, who was one of the first TS2 bloggers I followed. She's another Simmer whose stories I love, and she has a talent for portraying all kinds of situations in her Sims' lives. Some of the KS families have Apple Valley roots, and three of the Sims from my game are moving back to hers at some point.

Sea Turtles are so awesome, that's a great spirit animal. That's a cool picture of the sea turtles. We live in Florida so we see their nesting sites when we go to the beach, they are marked with signs to protect them. They've also tried to cut back light pollution right along the beach so they won't be confused by it. Kuulo Seeri is such a great world to delve into and it feels so full and cohesive. That's why I love it! I'm so glad you wrote this!
