Traits and Elements v2 (and VT is clueless)

It was my birthday last week, and you know what that means - special post time! I'm still in the process of rebuilding Kulo Seeri, but my Traits & Elements system attracted a lot of interest on a thread about arranged marriages on Plumb Bob Keep recently, and I promised a post around my updated system... so here it is.

Read on for a lot of rambling about elemental balance, an example from my game, and one embarrassing anecdote about some seriously unbalanced Freshwater...

9th Anniversary Special: A Year in Moonlight Falls, part 1

So. TS3. It has a lot of premades, doesn't it? There are the TS2 prequel Sims, the few that moved to Kulo Seeri (and, unfortunately, all died as a result of the zombie war), and... lots of random other ones. And, whatever kind of Sims game we're playing, don't we all have our favourites? In this seven-part(!) anniversary special, I'll be focusing on mine... and Zita zan-Ace's.

You see, before Zita became full-fledged shaman of Kulo Seeri, she spent time studying alchemy and other forms of magic in Moonlight Falls. Or, she was supposed to be studying. Although she may have shared some information with her apprentice, all anyone else in Kulo Seeri knows is that she came back refusing to talk about whatever had gone on there, and that she found out she was pregnant shortly after her initiation. The identity of little Caleb's father was anybody's guess.

Our story begins thirteen years later...

Sorry for disappearing again, everyone. You know how it is when everyday stuff gets in the way of blogging, right? Anyway, Sunday was my birthday, and that means it's (slightly late) special post time!

Meet the Cast (Happy Unbirthday Readers)

So. Saturday was my birthday, and although I didn't have the time then (or most of this past week!) I wanted to do something for the blog. Although I have to admit my friends and I still haven't outgrown gathering round for sugary snacks and party games, I think we'd have some difficulty playing pass the parcel over the internet, and as for downloadable gifts, my CC skills are still lacking in a lot of areas.

So, what else to do but introduce my readers to the Sims who will feature in my new hood?
