This Sims 2 blog follows the lives of the Nuidya tribespeople of the northern mountains, as they try to survive, thrive and figure out what exactly it means to be a lizardsim. Along the way, there'll be drama, romance, utter silliness and lots of cats. Just watch out for those storm demons - they're sneaky. :)

Falling With Style

Ever played that "good news, bad news" game? I feel like that's the way things are going for me at the moment.

Bad news: for the past month or so I've been getting pains in my feet. I had to see a doctor about it on Thursday.
Good news: it's nothing serious, and I've been advised to buy new shoes. (One of my friends, who came with me, said on the way out that she should go to the doctor more often.)
Bad news: walking back to the car, I tripped over a loose paving stone and crash landed on the ground.
Good news: apparently, my friend thinks it was a very impressive fall. At least I'm earning style points while making an idiot of myself in a crowded public place.
Bad news: the fall left me with a shoulder injury that means I have to cut down on the mammoth gaming sessions.
Good news: it's giving me more time to work on my next Simming projects, one of which will be rebuilding Kulo Seeri again.

Starr and Maisie's advice on the last post I made helped me decide that KS can't die now. I'll be starting a second hood, to try out some things Nuidya don't do (such as university, businesses, anything that runs on electricity and probably half the stuff that ships with the game), but Kulo Seeri is definitely still going to be around. I might be taking it in a slightly different direction, thanks to several downloading sprees over the last few weeks - there's plenty in my CC stockpile that could enhance the flavour of the hood big time, but a slight change of style is in order to satisfy my inner consistency geek.
(Useless fact: I don't have all my CC in the game at once, but switch out folders for each hood. This is because my entire collection of CC, known to me as the Dragon's Hoard, comes to a total size of 46.1 GB. Which happens to be exactly 46.1% of my eventual target.)

My second hood will probably definitely be set somewhere that isn't Earth or its Simmy equivalent at any point in time. I might adapt a challenge to do in it. That's as far as I've got with it, but I'm working on it.

I hope to be back to blogging regularly soon, but I won't say when I want to get my next update posted by, because that invariably results in more setbacks than you can shake a plumbob at.
