This Sims 2 blog follows the lives of the Nuidya tribespeople of the southern plains, as they try to survive, thrive and figure out what exactly it means to be a dragonspark. Along the way, there'll be drama, romance, utter silliness, high-fantasy worldbuilder rambling and lots of cats. Just watch out for those storm demons - they're sneaky. :)

VT Does The Time Warp Again

Hi everyone! VT is back, and updates from Kulo Seeri will be coming back to this blog soon. Hope you don't mind another time jump though! KS has just been too chaotic to remember to take screenshots lately. (23 kids with 6 surviving adults...)

Fortunately the madness is dying down now, and more updates are on the way. So, before I go any further, I'd better go over what didn't get caught on camera:

In 134, somewhere in between my last story post and Li Yoo's death, Claire Ursine found a genie lamp and wished for her best friend Lilac, who had recently died in childbirth, and her son Kifsina to come back from the dead. They did - as zombies - and then infected half the village (including chief elder, Rommy zan-Ace) before being driven out to the forest.

Kulo Seeri sent a request for help fighting the zombies to Lluza. One Sim from every Lluzan household made the long trek to Kulo Seeri (before the spring thaws and everything! to find that they weren't actually needed to fight - Nate Gorski, who had suddenly made the leap from "that incompetent fool, Pit Boy" to semi-temporary village leader due to the fact that he was the only outsider standing who'd seen zombie movies in SimNation, led the rest of the living adults to victory before the reinforcements got there, and what was left of the zombie pack was too weak to bother about.

Hestrie zan-Avira, Oriole Bird and, ironically, Claire Ursine all lost their lives in the battle. The memorial grove set up for Li and the others who died of sickness now also features a monument to the zombie war. Nate is considering the possibility of a treaty with the zombies... maybe half the animal braaaiiiinnns from each hunt in exchange for leaving Kulo Seeri alone.

The Lluzans are staying for a season in KS to resupply and help with the restoration efforts before heading back home. Otolo zan-Ave is living with the orphaned zan-Li kids until the older twins become teens, since one of their foster parents died in battle and the other died from poisonous mushrooms the day after. Otolo is hardly Briar's dream guy but he does have a good heart and loves kids.

Shansam and Nate are now married. The wedding was a very rushed and informal event, and one of their cats ran off that morning and wouldn't come back, but they're happy. The other four adults in KS have paired off too, thanks to ACR - Gabriella Newson and Vedrafe zan-Ace are one new couple, the other is Herbert Goodie and Serendipity Herendez (who wouldn't give each other the time of day until their respective partners both went all undead on them).

Meanwhile in Lluza, Tia zan-Ace had a baby boy named Keru, and headwoman Kitira found Shansam and Nate's missing cat. How the cat got all the way over there in such a short time I'll never know. :)

*deep breath* And... that's about it. I'm off to take screenies now to save you all from future long texty posts. :)

  1. Wow, a lot's been happening, and zombies, gosh. I'm glad the tribe will live on. Thank goodness for SimNation's zombie movies or else they may have been wiped out, right?! Glad there's romance and babies continuing after the epidemic of the undead. Maybe that needs to be a new taboo?
